We would like to take this opportunity to show our appreciation and gratitude to Ilyas Amir, Maaja Fischer and Sebastian Vargas by congratulating them for their dedication, time, and patience in doing what very few players have achieved at their age!
These three have dedicated almost all of their Friday evenings to volunteering as ‘JUNIOR EDUCATORS’ at IFSOE’s beginners program that took place in the Fall/Winter season of 2019/2020 at Vaughan SportsPlex.
There is something we must all know – it is no small task and especially difficult to grab the attention of players aged 6-9 for a period of 2 hours, and these three were able to do so with he help of IFSOE’s Educators- Zidane Samuels and Kamal Ali. They demonstrated, lead and taught the beginners what they have learned at IFSOE and that is what differentiates them from others.
Teaching someone else is not only rewarding but you can learn to improve yourself from it. Getting 13 and 9 year olds to do anything can be a daunting task for many parents but here we have the prime examples in the making of future leaders.
Due to the COVID-19 situation we were not able to provide these three with their award certificates in front of all the IFSOE players in April but we will do so at the first opportunity as we begin training again.
To the three – Thank you! and we know a bright future lies ahead for you.
P.S. We would also like to thank Hamza Worthington and Mateusz Rucki who occasionally came out when they were able to.
